SXSW is a music festival held every year around mid-March, and it features three days of music and events. There are featured bands along with Indie, Modern, and even a touch of underground. The Old State House and Faneuil Hall

Along the freedom train in Boston’s National Historic Park is a landmark that speaks a lot about the history of Boston and also of America. The Freedom Trail is with so many landmarks, that each one has its own significance in the history of America and American Revolution.

 The Old State House is one building that was used by local governments as well as colonial rulers to have discussions. It also served as a merchant’s meeting point. 

A special plaque built into stone is kept here. This inscription is to commemorate the victims of the Boston Massacre. Boston Massacre is one of the most morbid and bloody incidents in the pre-independence era of America. Colonists indiscriminately opened fire at people in Boston. It is one of the most inhuman acts, and still angers Americans over the thought of it.

Another popular attraction along the Freedom Trail is the Faneuil Hall. This was a building that was used by people to hold local meetings, and also discuss about the issues at hand. The rights of the people were discussed here, and the future course of action contemplated. IT was prominently known as a marketplace, where good were bought and sold. So it has the rare characteristic of being a market place and also a meeting place rolled into one. 

The building still reverberates with the speeches by famous architects of American independence. Some of them are Samuel Adams and James Otis. Such speeches urged people to revolt against the colonial rule by Great Britain. Due to the fact that thoughts of liberty and independence were started here, it is often referred to as the cradle of liberty.

Faneuil Hall is the place of performance of a famous orchestra band called the Boston Classical Orchestra. There is a hall in this building by the name of Great Hall. This is where the Orchestra performs, and has been doing so from many years. People come to watch performances.

Old South Meeting House

Boston is full of things to see, hear and feel. It is such a mulch-faceted place that you will never want to want less of this splendid city. It has the perfect blend of history and the contemporary. The Boston National Historic Park is one place that has a whole lot of history attached to it. This national park tells visitors the events that happened that triggered the American Revolution. There is a two and half mile long path called Freedom Trail, along which a lot of sites of historic interest stand. As you walk along the Freedom Trail you will see the struggles of people during the American Revolution through the various structures present there.

One of them is the Old South Meeting House. This place is dated back to the seventeen hundreds when it was built during that time. The gathering of people at this meeting place was predominantly people who had beliefs of proper conduct and non-hedonistic values. The very same people were instrumental in participating in the American Revolution. Many prominent people were members of this congregation.

Old South Meeting House has undergone renovation, and stands in peak beauty. ‘Voices of Protest’ is one of the exhibits on display there. It shows people the struggle that went into the freedom. Voices of Protest tells anecdotes of personal freedom struggles of valiant Americans. It places on record a description of the people who were in part responsible for shaping America’s destiny.

Old South Meeting Place’s memory in public minds is based on the Boston Tea Party. When the dissidence started brewing towards the colonial rule, lots of people would flock to this place to debate the day’s events. This was the perfect place for them to let their anger known to the various atrocities done to American people. On such a heated day, people gathered at this place to voice their protest against taxes, which led to the Boston Tea Party event.

There you will see highly skilled performer doing what they do best and you will be telling your family and friends about it for weeks to come.
