South by Southwest in Town? Bank on It!

Are you familiar with South by Southwest? Well, if you live in Austin, Texas, you probably have experienced the hustle and bustle of this event. SXSW is a music festival held every year around mid-March, and it features three days of music and events. There are featured bands along with Indie, Modern, and even a touch of underground. The event focuses on showcasing the newest sounds available.

Earn Money By Renting Your Home During SXSW

So what does this mean for you, Austin? If you own  either a home or a vacation property in this area, it could mean money. That’s right! Listing your home on HomeAway is a great way to make a little money during the excitement of the SXSW festival. There are many great benefits to this, and you can make some money in the process. It is definitely a win-win.

Here are a few benefits of renting your home for this event:

●      You can name your price. Hotels and convention centers are booked up for this event translating into a high demand for last-minute accommodations. Many attendees are from out of town, and would like a nice, and affordable, place to stay. This means you can name your price. If you have a home that can sleep eight, you can ask more for your property, because, chances are, more than one family will be staying there.

●      This is a great way to pay for your next vacation. With the money made on renting your home, you could pay for your next vacation. This is a great way to take some time away from the festival, and start planning that next big trip.

Considerations

When renting your home, consider these points before making your final decision:

●      Is your home rental ready? Renters will use your furniture, towels, kitchen appliances, and whatever else is in the home. If you have anything you would rather have left alone, it’s best to remove those items from the property for safe keeping.

●      Is your homeowners insurance current and appropriate for this endeavor? Accidents happen, and there is nothing worse than an accident with no insurance coverage. Notify your insurance company that you are periodically renting the property to obtain the appropriate policy. This will help eliminate confusion and any possible pitfalls in the event of a fire or other damage.

●      Make sure everything is in proper working order. This is a big deal to renters, as they want to have a nice place to stay while at the festival. If you have a sticky door, a window that won’t open or shut, or evidence of a dog, these things should be corrected and cleaned. Think about how you would like to see the property if renting it for a pretty penny.

Renting is a fantastic way to get out of town, make a little money, and have a paying house sitter. With the a little upfront preparation, you can leave with peace of mind. Since this event is held every year, you might even find that you get regulars in your home.

Boston Versus Online Casino Games

There are no casinos within the Boston city limits.  However, there are all kinds of different neat sites you can use if you want to bet from Boston, or on the various sports teams that operate out of Boston. Just because you are in the Cradle of Liberty does not mean you should have to fly to Atlantic City to freely scratch your betting itch, after all. There are some really sweet sites you can check out, right from the comfort of your own home, at any time you want to give them a try.

For instance, American Bookies is a great site for placing a bet whenever you feel like it. It focuses on sports primarily, so if you are looking for online casino games you might want to hit up another site. But if you want to try your hand at betting on a Patriots game some time, this is definitely your one stop shop for doing so with ease. Apparently they even pay out more quickly than you can pay in; the only catch is that you have to win, so be sure to know what you’re doing before you put it all on a long shot.

Now, if you want to make use of a site where you can do the casino thing, the sports thing, and ride the ponies all the way to millionaire status, you should check out Real Bookie. They are a site where you can bet on just about everything that people usually bet on. They have your odds, let you place your bets online or over the phone, and they make it just about as convenient as it possibly could be, without you actually having to be there to pantomime what you want to bet on for the bookie to write down. Come to think of it, that would be pretty amusing, wouldn’t it?
