Even if you didn’t financially plan on taking a piece of Boston home with you, you might just end up looking into payday loans in order to cover your mass shopping spree. The top of the list for shopping in Boston has to be Faneuil Hall Marketplace, also known as Quincy Market. Here visitors get a perfect blend of history and present day shopping. The Marketplace has quaint little shops that can take you back and souvenir shops to remember the here and now. At 11:45 and 1:45, Saturday, Sunday and Monday you can take a break from shopping to watch the Changing of the Guard at Faneuil Hall. Then you can throw caution (and diets) to the wind on one of the Boston Chocolate tours.

Up from Boston Common just a bit is a place known as Downtown Crossing which is great for the browser. This place is perfect for pedestrians because no cars are allowed. Here also is located the famous Filene’s Basement, a mecca for the avid shopper.
